VTNE Plan

VTNE cost: $375 to apply and $90 to move your window once

Short answer

The VTNE application fee is $375, payable by card or a pre-paid voucher code when you complete the application. You may transfer to the next examination window once for a $90 administrative fee per application; after that single transfer you must reapply and pay the full fee again. Retaking the exam also means reapplying and paying the full fee.

Fees

ItemFee
VTNE application$375
One-time window transfer$90 per application
Retakefull application fee again

Fees are reviewed annually by the AAVSB Board of Directors and are subject to change, so confirm the amount when you apply.

The window-transfer rule is the expensive part

You may move to the very next examination window once for $90. After that transfer you cannot move again — a further change means reapplying and paying the full $375. Transfer requests go to the AAVSB with a deadline before the window, so read the handbook's timing rules before you assume a date can be changed.

If you pass

You cannot retake the VTNE after passing unless a state regulatory board requires it. Credentialing itself is done by your state or province, not by AAVSB, and their application fee is separate.
